Profile-specific fitting requirements
Performance valve springs are required. Performance spring retainers are required. For an automatic transmission, Crow specifies converter stall at or above the lower end of the cam’s operating range. For flat-tappet installation, Crow recommends two bottles of ZDDP additive: one for run-in and one for the first oil change. Follow Crow’s current run-in procedure and the product dosing instructions.

Confirm the actual engine capacity, cylinder-head design and induction system before ordering. The installer must check cam timing, piston-to-valve clearance, spring installed height, coil bind, retainer-to-seal clearance, pushrod length and rocker geometry.
