Performance valve springs are required. Performance spring retainers are required. Fitting the specified hardware requires machining. Use the specified performance valve seals. For an automatic transmission, Crow specifies converter stall at or above the lower end of the cam’s operating range.

The installer must check cam timing, piston-to-valve clearance, spring installed height, coil bind, retainer-to-seal clearance, pushrod length and rocker geometry. Hydraulic preload or mechanical lash must match the selected profile. BBT can help assemble the engine-specific package and arrange installation and calibration.
