Profile-specific fitting requirements
Performance valve springs are required. Performance spring retainers are required. Fitting the specified hardware requires machining. Use the specified performance valve seals. For an automatic transmission, Crow specifies converter stall at or above the lower end of the cam’s operating range. Fit the DG4 oil-pump gear. The build requires suitable compression, head work, manifold, headers and a high-stall converter.

The installer must check cam timing, piston-to-valve clearance, spring installed height, coil bind, retainer-to-seal clearance, pushrod length and rocker geometry.
