Overview

HFM.Parts CMU86 Positive-Feel Clutch Master Upgrade is a direct-bolt-on clutch hydraulic upgrade for Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86 applications. HFM reduces the master-cylinder bore from the factory-style 11/16-inch arrangement to 5/8 inch to provide a more positive engagement point with performance clutch kits.

Hydraulic Configuration

• 5/8-inch upgraded clutch master-cylinder bore
• Designed to operate with the OEM 13/16-inch clutch slave cylinder
• Direct-bolt-on architecture

Fitment

Subaru BRZ ZC6/ZD8 and Toyota 86 ZN6 in supported RHD and LHD applications.

Use Case

HFM developed the smaller-bore master cylinder for vehicles using heavier aftermarket clutch diaphragms where the soft factory pedal can make the clutch release point difficult to judge accurately.

Installation

Bench bleed / fully bleed the clutch hydraulic system after installation and verify pedal free play, slave travel and complete clutch release before road use.
