Haltech DC Motor Driver - DCMD

Haltech DC Motor Driver - DCMD (HT-038009) is a two-channel full-bridge motor driver for controlling higher-current DC motor loads from a Haltech ECU.

Typical applications

• Turbosmart electronic wastegates.
• Varex exhaust motors.
• Other compatible DC motors.
• High-power external electronic-throttle applications where suitable control strategy is available.

Electrical capability

• 2 motor/output channels.
• Rated to 8A continuous per channel.
• Up to 30A maximum current.
• Maximum recommended switching speed of 2.2kHz.
• Requires 2 ECU DPO outputs for control; Haltech specifies active-low control.

ECU compatibility

• Can be driven by Nexus, Elite and Platinum Series ECU outputs.
• Native Turbosmart electronic-wastegate control is limited to Elite and Nexus Series ECUs.
