Overview

Ross Performance Parts Nissan RB Twin-Cam Head Drain Adaptor is designed to help control oil pooling at the rear of RB20, RB25 and RB26 cylinder heads on engines using upgraded oil pumps or sustained high-RPM operation.

Why It Is Used

Ross identifies excessive top-end oil retention as a known RB issue when oil delivery exceeds the factory head-drain capacity. Excess oil can be pushed through the cam-cover ventilation system and, in severe cases, can reduce the amount of oil available in the sump.

Important Oiling Note

Ross also recommends correctly sizing cylinder-head oil restrictors when upgrading the oil pump. The head drain should be treated as part of the complete oil-control strategy, not as a substitute for correct restrictor and sump design.
