Yella Terra Ford Boss 5.4 / Barra 4.0 Heavy-Duty Alternator Relocation Bracket — YT 5400-016

Yella Terra’s heavy-duty alternator relocation bracket moves the alternator down beside the engine block to create additional clearance for forced-induction hardware, front-feed intake manifolds and tight engine-bay installations on supported Ford Boss and Barra combinations.

Billet relocation system

• Heavy-duty precision-machined alloy bracket supplied with mounting hardware.
• Designed for Ford Boss 5.4L V8 and Barra 4.0L engine-family installations.
• Relocates the alternator to the low side-of-block / USA-truck-style position.
• Useful where supercharger, turbocharger or front-feed intake hardware competes for the factory alternator space.
• Can also improve clearance in engine conversions with tight chassis rails.

Important alternator-drive warning

The reverse-facing / reverse-rotation alternator arrangement cannot use the Ford factory clutched pulley. Depending on the alternator and installation, Yella Terra advises that a solid fixed-rotation pulley may be required (SC 5400-010 / SCF 1683 / SCF 1664), along with the longer heavy-duty relocated-alternator loom SC 5400-012.

Installation: Confirm alternator model, pulley type, belt alignment, wiring length and chassis clearance before final assembly.
