Installation and configuration

• Confirm the camshaft part number, engine generation, camshaft drive, trigger arrangement and cylinder-head compatibility before installation.
• Degree the camshaft where required and measure piston-to-valve, valve-to-valve, spring coil-bind and retainer-to-seal clearances on the actual engine.
• Check lifter type, hydraulic preload or mechanical lash, rocker geometry, pushrod length where applicable and the required spring/retainer package.
• An active-AFM/DOD engine requires the correct mechanical conversion before a non-AFM camshaft is fitted; update the ECU calibration as required.
