Supplied contents
One camshaft for the specified position/profile. Matching camshafts, lifters, springs, retainers and installation hardware are not included unless explicitly stated for this SKU.
Installation and configuration
- Confirm the camshaft part number, engine generation, camshaft drive, trigger arrangement and cylinder-head compatibility before installation.
- Degree the camshaft where required and measure piston-to-valve, valve-to-valve, spring coil-bind and retainer-to-seal clearances on the actual engine.
- Check lifter type, hydraulic preload or mechanical lash, rocker geometry, pushrod length where applicable and the required spring/retainer package.
- An active-AFM/DOD engine requires the correct mechanical conversion before a non-AFM camshaft is fitted; update the ECU calibration as required.
Recommended associated products
Only purchase components required for your actual engine configuration. Included kit components are already accounted for; separately listed alternatives must not be added cumulatively.
- Recommended: Crow Cams Genuine GM LS Cam Retaining Plate Kit — Recommended cam-retaining-plate and fastener kit when the existing plate or fasteners require replacement.
- Recommended: Crow Cams Genuine GM LS Timing Cover Gasket Kit — Recommended front-cover gasket and seal service components during camshaft installation.
- Optional: BTR Chromoly Pushrod Set | 7.400in x 5/16in | GM LS — 7.400-inch chromoly pushrod set. Purchase only if measured valve-train geometry confirms this exact length and diameter.
- Optional: Crow Cams Genuine GM LS High-Pressure Oil Pump Kit — High-pressure oil-pump package for a compatible non-AFM oiling system. Not a direct replacement for active AFM or LSA applications.
Alternative packages — choose one
These are optional alternatives, not additional required purchases. Select the version that matches the intended engine, existing components and complete package contents.
- Recommended: Crow Cams / Genuine GM LS1 Lifter Overhaul Kit - 2004 onwards — Select the overhaul package matching the actual engine and early/late head-bolt arrangement. Use one appropriate overhaul kit, not several.
