Installation and configuration
- Confirm the camshaft part number, engine generation, camshaft drive, trigger arrangement and cylinder-head compatibility before installation.
- Degree the camshaft where required and measure piston-to-valve, valve-to-valve, spring coil-bind and retainer-to-seal clearances on the actual engine.
- Check lifter type, hydraulic preload or mechanical lash, rocker geometry, pushrod length where applicable and the required spring/retainer package.
- Confirm Gen V cam phaser/VVT and AFM/DOD configuration, and complete any required mechanical conversion and calibration.
