PPM forged piston package for Barra XR6 Turbo high-power builds.

PPM supplier information

• Billet 2618 aluminium, heat-treated to T61 condition.
• 92.50 mm bore with +0.010-inch option stated by PPM.
• Compression options: dished 8.5:1 or flat-top 9.5:1.
• NPR Japan nitrided ring pack: 1.0 / 1.2 / 2.8 mm.
• Four valve pockets, offset pin, double pin oiling, anti-detonation and accumulator grooves, full-skirt design and horizontal gas ports.
• Heavy-duty 9310 0.276-inch-wall DLC-coated steel pins, ceramic thermal coating on crown/ring grooves, phosphate and moly skirt coatings.
• PPM markets the piston package for 2000+ hp Barra applications.

Confirm final bore/hone specification, piston-to-wall clearance, ring gaps, compression target and pin/rod compatibility with the engine builder.
